Fishing off of the Roseland Peninsula

I spent a morning photographing James aboard his boat the Madeline Rose back in May. James motors out of St Mawes most days when the weather is good taking people on fishing trips around this beautiful part of Cornwall.

These negs have finally found their way from my camera bag, into my new(old) jobo, into my shower and onto my scanner. I didn't want to keep posting negatives around the country to get developed and here in Bristol there isn't too much choice with your colour negs (read 'too' much...there is one place..) so I decided to do my own. That took a bit of research and these negs have taken the brunt of that.

My C41 process is well on the way though and I love these pictures which I have just used a handful of to animate James's new website. So check out www.fishandtripstmawes.co.uk if your nosey or if you want to catch your dinner.

Our view

I never tire of the view from my flat in Montpelier, Bristol. Yes I hate living in a flat. Thats decided. The dragging of numerous bikes up and down the stairs, listening to my neighbours sex habits, putting up with the freeholders greed and ability for leaks to cause absolute havoc have taken a toll on my sanity. But this view is a leveller.

Taken in-between the Hinterlands workshop and our talks this year when the summer was just starting to show it's face. Brenda Kenneally and Rebecca Harley were over my shoulder and I'm sure they will remember the striking light on this evening. Peace out.x

roll #2

A few frames from roll #2 of my start at processing my c41 rolls from the Mamiya 7 I have come to love. There really is something magical about late nights, dark rooms, chemicals and the suspense.

Norway. February 2012.

Barbadoes, S.Wales.

downhill bikes + mud +van + rain + wales + friends + tea = an awesome day of riding

boneshaker -- digmore

Really happy to have a piece that I worked on appear in #9 of cycling mag Boneshaker. Go and grab an it now - it's the one that looks nice, has articles about riding, great pictures and doesn't have any free stickers..

The piece I photographed/wrote is called digmore and I would just like to say a big thanks to George at digmore for letting me take a bit of his story and for Lucy's edit on my copy.
